Indian global male and female

Times they are a changing! Dylan sang his lungs out, his throats dried up, young and old danced to his tunes, yet how many roads must a "man" walk down to smarten up? Well I am talking about Indian marriages here. We have all been hearing about this globalisation crap for a long time now so much so that we know of nothing "domestic" (except of course "some" domesticated and tamed wives). From the mobile phones we use to the garments we wear, there is a tag of something "foreign" on them. The "go global" mantra have acted strangely on Indian males. The Indian male today wears denim, hits the "axe" all over him, tries to fit into "power" shoes, and believes in the institution of marriage. Such strong belief in marriage per se (and not coochy cooing with the hot babes) has been unprecedented. Have you noticed that there has been a spurt in matrimonial sites on the internet? Of course you must have. But on closer inspection you will find a striking difference between the nature of profiles of a female and that of a male. Let me explain.
The female profile would seem very meek, dull and submissive, usually posted by a worrying parent, or a caring brother, or an apprehensive "married" sister or friend(s). The profile would talk of how nice their girl is, how she did her schooling (from english medium and if she is doubly lucky then "convent educated"), how she topped her school, then college and then just stopped short of topping the university, how she got multiple gold medals in extra-curricular activites, debating and creative writing, how tall and slim she is, how fair and flawless she is, and how "cultured" (pearl culture??) and "adjusting" she is.
The male profiles are more boisterous, and demanding. They usually talk about how liberal they are, the different kinds of degrees they hold, the places they have been to, the different cuisines they have tried, and most importantly the expectations that they have from their future wives. They also contain in bold that the female they are hunting for should be "adjusting" and "ready to relocate". The english medium or convent educated clause usually does not feature in the male profiles because they are assumed to have learnt the tricks of trade in the course of going around the world and trying out different cuisines. For the female it becomes more important because she has to be the "public relations" manager of the household. what if she stutters and stammers in front of HR friends of the MBA husband? He has to impress upon the boss on booze that he has an "ambitious" wife and hence is ready to go abroad and settle for a high profile job. But this globalised Indian male does not stop just at that. He wants more. How can he forgo his parents from missing out on all the fun? So, he has another paragraph on how devoted the future wife must be towards her future parents-in-laws. She must be religious (by believing in god of course) and she should not show disrespect to the elders of his clan.

Now, the marriage accomplished and the girl relocated, the great Indian circus begins. Why? You thought globalisation did not have any impact on the convent educated female? My friend it did. Well she multi-tasked, she cooked, she washed, she showed respect to parents, but she also "met" her husband's girlfriend's husband during one of those animated PR exercises and boy! she does know how to handle it all!

you are right, most of the male profiles in matrimonal sites are like that only.
but i feel the reason for less female profile(owned by her) is as you may be known if u have an orkut account with girl name how many friend requests u will get per day.

but after marriage it's up to you how will take your relation ship to next level with h****(it doesnot matter howmany g*** friends he has).my grandfather said
one day "if u love some one you should be in a position to accept
what ever he or she do".

and about that circus(family circus)???
i don't know when it will change..
may be after 60th independence day
( we have a first women president and a movie chekde).

one request ..please change
male profiles to(most of the male
profiles)
